Software company ServiceNow has been named the UK’s best place to work in 2022, according to Glassdoor’s annual employer rankings.
immediate service Entering the UK rankings for the first time this year, anonymous reviews left by employees on Glassdoor highlight the company’s strengths in workplace culture, career opportunities and training.
California-based ServiceNow is led by Bill McDermott, former CEO of software solutions company SAP.
McDermott noted that “employee experience is really everything” during the return to work, Speaking on CNBC’s “TechCheck” in August, following ServiceNow’s acquisition of indoor mapping and wayfinding company Mapwize.
“There’s a war for talent out there… early adopter companies of these technologies [will] Win, and whoever wins loses a lot of people,” McDermott said.
Global employment site Glassdoor compiles its rankings by looking at companies that score at least 30 on nine attributes, including employees’ overall scores, as well as factors such as work-life balance, compensation and benefits, and whether employees would recommend their employers to friends.
IT consulting firm AND Digital is No. 2 on Glassdoor’s 2022 list and a newcomer to the ranking.
Glassdoor’s career trends analyst Jill Cotton told CNBC via email that this year’s rankings saw many new entrants, in part because the coronavirus pandemic “has upended the business world, but it has given companies the opportunity to embrace Change, break the corporate rulebook and put people first.”
Cotton said tech companies dominated the rankings because of their “ability to adapt during a pandemic.”
Additionally, she said, the pandemic has forced many businesses to accelerate technology adoption.
“This growing importance means that all businesses now need to be a tech company,” Cotton added.
