Los Angeles – Prosecutors say a former United Nations musical director and Arsenal Hall TV show has been arrested on suspicion of embezzling 7 750,000 from a charity charity concert for homeless children.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Monday that Robin de Maguire could face charges of wire fraud. It was not known if he had a lawyer.
Prosecutors say de Maguire was paid $ 750,000 after agreeing to help the Peace for Europe Foundation in Bulgaria.
Instead of escorting money to pay the artists, the 47-year-old used it to pay for personal expenses, including car and credit card loans, and to buy a house for his ex-wife, officials said.
Prosecutors say DeMagio used فن 251,370 to buy a home in Calabasa, northwest of Los Angeles, California. CBS Los Angeles Report. He also allegedly wired 150,000 into a bank account in the name of his company, De Magic Entertainment, Inc.
DeMaggio could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
In his career as a drummer, De Magio has played on albums by Paul Simon and Diana Ross.
