The Australian government has not cancelled Djokovic’s visa a second time, saying the unvaccinated tennis player could pose a risk to the community.

Tennis star Novak Djokovic faces deportation after the Australian government revoked his visa for the second time.

The Australian government cancelled his visa on Friday, saying the world number one male tennis player was not vaccinated against COVID-19 and could pose a risk to the community.

Immigration Minister Alex Hawke used his discretion to cancel Djokovic’s visa again on Monday after a court reversed an earlier revocation and released him from immigration detention.

“Today, I exercised my powers under section 133C(3) of the Immigration Act to cancel the visa held by Mr. Novak Djokovic on grounds of health and good order, on the grounds that it is in the public interest to do so ,” Hawke said in a statement.
